A tester walks into a bar...
Since making the move to software testing, I’ve applied for two jobs and won them both. The real secret to that pattern is networking, but I’ll leverage it to lead the way for other folks hoping to break into the field.
If you’re a tester in a bar and somebody asks you what testing techniques you use, here are some things you could say:
- Boundary Testing
- All Pairs Testing
- Session Based Testing
- Exploratory Testing (with charters)
- Soap Opera Testing
- Stress Testing
Some other interview questions you might get:
- What’s the difference between quality and testing?
- In your opinion, what’s the purpose of a user story? Of acceptance criteria?
